The Third King: 5 yo, 16H, TBx Hann x Clyde dun gelding. This attractive gelding is nearly 70% TB and is turning out to be an eventing rockstar. Always scores well in dressage; after winning his second BN, he moved up to novice and placed third at Waredaca in the open division. He’s a brave jumper with lots of power and scope and will easily be going training by the end of the 2013 season. He’s easy on the flat, always puts in a steady test and gets it done xc. Super comfortable to ride, his canter is just delightful. All three phases in a snaffle! An in-your-pocket type, he has the most engaging personality – always follows you around the field and prefers people to horses. Wonderful to hack, alone or in company, he’s good in the barn and on the trailer at shows. Another young rider prospect!

Congrats to Alexis on her purchase of King – who will always be dear to our hearts.

The Third King - Cross Country BFGfrom Alexis re:  King
Absolutely cannot wipe the grin off my face as I write to update you on Roman (King!) and I’s progress over the last few months. . . Our first off-the-farm cross country schooling was a few weeks ago and we had a blast, learned a lot, and grew together as a team.Honestly, Roman was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made – every day (including today) continues to affirm that over and over. This horse has a magnetism, kindness, and a little bit of goofiness that people always seem to pick up on and love.  . . .He has still yet to refuse a single fence, by the way – THANK YOU CHELSEA for instilling such honesty and bravery in this horse! Each and every day, he makes me excited to come to the barn, get to work, and grow as a team. He really is my “forever” horse and I can’t thank you enough for this partnership.
