Dubai – 2013 3 yo, 16.H crossbred gelding. To make a long story short, Dubai was a surprise; out of a lovely DHH x TB x Percheron mare, (Gracie Slick on our sold page) and an Arab stallion, he presents an interesting combination of genetics that make him a world class prospect. (1/2 Arab, 1/4 DHH, 1/8 TB, 1/8 Draft). He is the original warmblood!
Dubai is beautifully put together, a bright bay with a stocking and a blaze. This horse is a lovely mover and can really sit – canter pirouettes as a baby were his specialty. His dam was high point champion of a local dressage series during her first year of showing and she is currently showing 2nd level with great scores.
Dubai began his show career with a dressage in-hand show in May, 2016 and it was no surprise to us that the judge loved him, giving him a 76.9% and naming him high point champion of the show! He offers pretty much everything you look for in an upper level prospect.
He is now working well under saddle at w/t/c and he is everything we thought he would be. Fabulous walk with huge overstep, his trot is very fluid and supple with lots of natural swing and his canter is exceptionally balanced – very classical. He has started his show career in the summer of 2018 and high 60s and low 70s have been his norm. He will be debuting at first level soon. His gaits are extremely comfortable and light and elastic; sitting on him is a revelation – a fantastic prospect for the serious dressage competitor.
